02:42 pm this weekend was thought provoking. i've become overwhelmed by an enormous feeling of change. this thought that everything in life changes and moves on regardless of whether you want it to or not. and there's nothing you can do to stop it.
like frost said, nothing gold can stay.
this part of life hard. i'm stuck in the middle of fighting like mad to hold on to anything that was gold when i was a boy, but i'm having to become a man at the same time. my head and heart are being pulled like rope in a tug of war between the two. it's hard to see friends come and go. relationships that were good are now gone. people change and move on.
but, there's also this sharp contrast to that. it is hopeful and says that, to every thing there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven.
so even though things change and move on, there is a purpose to it. it's hard for me to understand, but am i supposed to? is it okay to hold on to things, or do i let them go? do i really want to stay 18 forever or am i just remembering everything better than it actually was?
how do you stay gold ponyboy?
i know change is good, but it hurts like hell. c'est la vie?

04:12 pm I hate my education classes. I like the idea of teaching, but all this work we do is bogus. It's all busywork. I don't know if they know this, but... I DON'T PAY STUPID HIGH TUITION FEES TO DO FUCKING BUSYWORK!
anyway...i'm excited about going to indy this weekend and hanging will molllllllllllllly
should be fun. spring break hurry the hell up
god i want out of this stupid class

12:51 am so this is kinda random but its whatev my teaching classes are so so so frustrating to me because i feel like all it is is just busy work that i dont need to be doing. i cant stand the fact that i have to do ridiculous homework that wont ever help me in teaching. i feel like it is very hard to teach people how to be a teacher. in my book, you either have it or you dont. sure you can instruct people on maybe what they can do to be a better teacher or how they can do certain aspects of teaching better, but its so frustrating to see what will eventually be teachers that may eventually teach my children. its very scary. i dont want some of these people to be instructing my children. i dont understand how teaching is such an easy profession for someone to be able to do and its a drag that teachers arent held to a higher standard. but with that, i think they should be rewarded for the better job they do. so many people do it for the wrong reasons and its these people im supposed to trust my children with? i wouldnt trust some of them to babysit my dog. i dunno... frustrating im happy that its not what i want to do full time for a career or i think i would kill myself...
by the way, new found glory is going to be in indianapolis on may 5th and im gonna try my hardest to go i think itd be real real fun i love new found glory lots...
speaking of what else i love when it comes to music, two words...
hip-hop
its really become one of my true passions. i love quality hip hop just as much as i love anything else. it kinda makes me a nerd cause im probably not the posterboy for a hip-hop head but its so damn good if you ever need suggestions, holla at your boy...
another random thing, i cant get enough of watching the british house of commons when they play it on c-span. its really fascinating to watch another system of government do their thing. especially because the british parliament is really funny and entertaining.
i guess thats about it for now. happy about getting tickets for coldplay in july so im gettin pumped about that. much love, Aaron Current Music: '03 bonnie and clyde instrumental

11:56 am - im a bit frustrated after having my intellect insulted
okay so heres the deal... i know know know know know know that voting is really important. i got that. i know that i am already registered to vote. i know that people who truly care, already have registered by now i know that yes jonah hill from superbad, you are funny. i know that every single person on this is superbly talented (minus you sarah silverman, you're just a superb bitch) but really? do you honestly think that you all have that much sway? you're kidding right? you're that important? oh wait...youre not? leave me the fuck alone then... you wasted five minutes of my life proving that you are all assholes.
i will vote not because you told me to not because of some gimmick sarcastic video not because its the cool thing to do im gonna vote because its what i want to do go make movies or something stick to that its what youre good at...(except you sarah silverman...you can just die)

03:04 am - i thought this could be cool alright so heres what im gonna do and you should too...
a song or two for each of these (its just songs that seem like they go with each one) it takes some work, but its kinda fun
childhood-late childhood wild pack of family dogs by modest mouse-this song has a childish kinda vibe i think safety dance by men without hats-i dont know why i picked this one for this category besides that i wanna do the safety dance
late childhood to early/mid-teens whats my age again by blink 182-is there really any better song or band for that matter that is middle school/13-16? move along by all american rejects-this is for everyones first crush that broke your heart
mid-teens to late teens the adventure by angels and airwaves-yeah i couldnt not have this song on here so what. i really feel like it captures the whole graduating high school and moving on with your life thing perfectly. free fallin' by tom petty- this song actually is that feeling of everything being exactly alright, even if its not soco amaretto lime by brand new- the line "im gonna stay 18 forever" says it all
20s in the music by the roots-this songs about life being hard and the real world being fucked up. kinda sucks having to grow up all along the watchtower by jimi hendrix- i think the chaos this songs brings through the guitars bass and drums remind of this time. ms. jackson by outkast- never meant to make your daughter cry, i apologized a trillion times
30's gong by sigur ros-i dont really know why, but i feel like this one just fits maybe waiting on the world to change by john mayer-pretty soon this generation is gonna be in charge of shit and i think it just kinda has a timid 30's feel somehow get by remix by mos def talib kweli kanye west jay z and busta rhymes-shits rough nowadays
midlife beach chair by jay-z ft. chris martin- this song is very midlife to me. jigga is starting to think that someday the things he did in his youth are gonna catch up to him. i really think he sounds scared. dazed and confused by led zeppelin- again, i think this song has a frightened feel and it just fits right i think
50's/60's time by pink floyd-you certainly arent getting any younger and time doesnt stop for anyone so damn lucky by dave matthews-i really like his delivery of the lyrics. it talks about how good little things are and how lucky it is to feel things snow by the red hot chili peppers-this might go better younger, but i think it works well here too
retirement sorta age til' kingdom come by coldplay- id like to think that this is what its like to be married to someone your entire life and still love them just as much as you used to arizona by kings of leon-a very relaxed song that just feels like its time to relax after working
end of life blame it on the tetons by modest mouse-everyones a building burning with no one to put the fire out 23 by jimmy eat world- something about this song.i love the song but it just seems okay right here hurt by johnny cash- cash sounds like hes in such pain. i pray to god that this isnt what it feels like when its getting time to die.
anyways...that was long enough, but if you made it here, youre pretty much obliged to do it yourself now...

12:09 pm - this is neat...

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Indiana University Police responded to an incident of an 18-year-old-male student being cut with a sharp edged weapon as he was walking with a group along 17th Street at Woodlawn Avenue in Bloomington at approximately 12:30 a.m., Saturday (Sept. 6). The three females and two males in the group were all IU Bloomington students, 18- and 19-years-old, and were walking back to their residence halls. Officers spoke to all members of the group who said that the subject described below approached them from behind and started waving a sharp-edged weapon at them. The primary victim sustained a four-inch cut to the front of his neck and two of females received a superficial cut to their faces and the suspect left, running in a southeasterly direction. The male victim was transported to the Bloomington Hospital and was treated and released at approximately 4:15 a.m. The females did not require medical treatment and had left the area before police arrived but were contacted at their dorms. SUSPECT: White male, 5'9" to 6'2" slim build, wearing a yellow t-shirt, blue jeans and a white hooded sweat shirt. Officers from Indiana University and the Indiana State Police searched the area for the suspect with negative results. If anyone believes they may know the identity of the suspect or have information concerning this incident, they are asked to call the IU Police Department at 812-855-4111 and speak to an investigator. A cautionary e-mail and text message was sent to all students, faculty and staff of IU Bloomington shortly after 5:00 a.m.
I didn't get that e-mail/text message... Current Location: desk Current Mood: confused Current Music: nuffin

08:58 pm - oh m.i.a. you make my heart flutter... me and this song know how to get down...
i know this song isnt really that new and m.i.a. has been around awhile but i lub it a lot
in other news... two main things have been really pissing me off lately 1.) with all this RNC brouhaha, ive been watching a lot of the speeches and what not and i dont mean to be all "i hate george bush im moving to canada if mccain wins im voting for obama for president for no reason" college student like most kids around here are but it blew my mind how much dishonesty has been going on just to make themselves sound better for instance; palin says shes against earmarks and pork barrel spending and she was against "the bridge to nowhere" $27 million in earmarks for her hometown $750 million in requested funds for alaska supported the $398 million bulding of a bridge to an island with 50 residents and 1 airportuntil it was found to be unpopular
mike huckabee saying palin recieved more votes to win mayor of her hometown than joe biden did running for president palin comes from a town of 9,000 people...biden had around 100,000 supporters vote for him...
McCain says "she's the governor of our largest state and the commander in chief of the alaskan national guard. she's been in charge blah blah blah blah blah" alaska is the biggest state. its also the 47th biggest in population. the alaskan national guard is the one of the smallest national guards in the country.
2.) the new cheesy bacon tendercrisp sandwhich from burger king sucks major ass
much love, aaron
